The Site Director (SD) oversees the day-to-day operations of the school-year and summer program for Scholars, Teaching Fellows, AmeriCorps Members, Instructional Coaches, and Volunteers. The SD is accountable for measurable gains in student enrollment, engagement, academic growth, and social and emotional development, as well as the engagement and growth of our summer Teaching Fellows. Working across Breakthrough Houston teams, the SD ensures every student has a seamless, transformative experience to and through college.

The Development Associate, Corporate Partnerships and Events leads BTH’s corporate partnerships and event fundraising. This person owns the fundraising goal for BTH’s fall and spring flagship events and builds and manages BTH’s corporate partner pipeline.

We are looking for volunteer College Essay Coaches to virtually help 1-3 high school seniors perfect their college applications by providing feedback on their personal statement and any supplemental essays. Coaches do not need to have previous college access/counseling experience (although it is welcome!). This opportunity is a great way to build a relationship with an amazing young person and help them navigate a process that can feel really overwhelming.
